If my son is nagging me for something and cannot be patient, then he simply does NOT get whatever he is nagging me for. It’s hard. It really is. And it is easier said than done. I am guilty of not always doing this, but in a perfect world, I know that if I followed through with this every time, my son would nag a lot less and possibly never. The difficulty comes when he nags for something that I forgot I’d agree to do for him. In these cases, I have to remind him to use his “big boy normal” voice and then I apologize for forgetting.
